“Loss” is a series of photographs exploring the themes of losing a loved one. By picture manipulation both digital and darkroom, I achieved results where despite their sensed demeanor, one person is missing in particular parts of the image. 

In this picture specifically, I turned back to alternative photographic techniques and combined the two negatives of the photos together. One of them showing 2 people, the other, however, only one. By double exposing the negatives using an enlarger I achieved an outcome where despite two people being present in the picture, only one of them is visible in the reflection.
