“Loss” is a series of photographs exploring the themes of losing a loved one. By picture manipulation both digital and darkroom, I achieved results where despite their sensed demeanor, one person is missing in particular parts of the image.
I removed one of the people from this shot using digital editing software. In the absence of a person in the photographs, merely their reflection creates the impression that they are there—not physically, but only in the recollections.
